Summary

The role of community pharmacist in managing minor conditions is expanding rapidly – the public are currently being encouraged to “self care” and more prescription only medicines are being deregulated to pharmacy medicines status (POM to P).

There is therefore a clear need for up-to-date, accessible reference sources to support community pharmacists in a field with an expanding product range.
