As a result of the transaction, GE Healthcare's IT business has been renamed GE Healthcare Integrated IT Solutions.

Headquartered in Little Chalfont, UK, GE Healthcare Bio-Sciences is a US$3 billion business that provides diagnostic imaging agents, drug discovery and protein separation systems. In 2005, sales of medical diagnostic products totalled US$1.8 billion and US$1.2 billion came from life science products.
